Bighorn River Fishing Reports

May 19th thru 27th Fishing

The peak of the Brown trout spawn seems to have past and is starting to wind down. This means we all need to watch where we are wading. Try to avoid walking through any visible redds. The big boys have been slacking on the feed lately, they may be recuperating from copulating. Bring an assortment of streamers but always make sure you have a couple of the Big Horn special colors. The nymphing is doing great with a number of flies; scuds, sow bugs, mayflies and San Juan worms. Midge nymphs are another go to pattern.
